The Lilac Room

            The Lilac Room is on the northwest corner of the house and overlooks the side yard with its gardens, fountain, brick patio, and swimming pool. It features an elegant canopied queen bed, walnut marble-top washstands and dresser, and a window seat. The edges of the hardwood floor is stenciled with flowers and vines.  The bathroom is the original one added to the house in the 1890’s. The antique claw-foot tub is painted with lilacs to compliment the bedroom wallpaper. Click on a photo to make it larger.
